おきなわマラソン2010　3/7（日）午前9時スタート

The Okinawa Marathon runs through nine different cities,towns,and villages in central Okinawa. The marathon aims to encourage people to enjoy running and increase their fitness level throughout Okinawa.The Marathon Race Committee hopes that the marathon will help the international and inter-cultural exchange,too.The committee also hopes it will add to your memorable experiences while on Okinawa.

Number Tags are given to runners at Okinawa Prefecture Comprehensive Athletic Park in Awase.
You can also get the number tags on the day of the marathon which is on Mar 7th 2010, before the race starts (07:00-).

   Okinawa Prefecture Comprehensive Park is located in Awase, Okinawa city. Please be familiar with the area of the Park in Awase.

DESIGNETED PARKING LOTS

  • We will offer more parking spaces !
    Thanks to the corporation of "SHOPPER'S AWASE"(address: 2-1-1 Hiyagon, Okinawa city), we can offer more parking spaces (about 400 cars).

    Parking within the Comprehensive Park is prohibited on the race day.

    Please park your vehicle at the Designated Parking Lots ( JUSCO Gushikawa, TropicalTechnology Center(T.T.C.), Awase Fishing Port, Kitanakagusuku Fisherman’s Association, Shopper's Awase ). Parking Lots are available from 7:00 a.m. on the race day.

Registration Fee

Full Marathon
  • Adult: 4,500 yen
  • The age of 16 or older and High school student: 3,500 yen
  • The age of 65 or older: 3,500 yen
10km Road race
  • Adult: 2,700 yen
  • The age of 16 or older and High school student 1,200 yen

Marathon Distance Options

  • 42.195 km (approx. 26.4 miles):    Full marathon
  • 10 km (approx. 6.25 miles):    Quarter marathon 

Eligibility

  • Any healthy man or woman of any nationality, 16 years and older as of March 7th, 2010.

How to Apply

*Application form is accepted between November 1st and December 31st, 2009.
1. Pick up and submit application form at any following locations. (Yen only);
2. Fill out the application form and turn it in, to any locations listed above. Our office is located on the Grand Street near-by Exit 4 (call us at 930-0088 to get the direction) with the entry fee(YEN only).

3. Make sure to keep the receipt. You will need it for the race number pick-up on either March 6th (10 am-8 pm) or March 7th (race day).
4. Internet Entry:
If you prefer to make a payment using a credit card, you have to register via Internet (Be aware that 8% of the service fee will be charged.)
Go to the follwing Link to access to internet registration. You will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail when your registration procedure is completed. Although you will not see the confirmation number on it, you need to keep the letter as your receipt, and present a copy of the letter when you pick up your number tag.

   Okinawa Prefecture comprehensive Athletic Park (Awase), where the Okinawa Marathon starts, is not the Stadium where The Okinawa Marathon Executive Office is located (Koza).    Please be familiar with the area of the Athletic Park in Awase. For the traffic regulations and parking information, please refer to the attachments.

  • Early registration is recommended. The registration is limited to 10,000 runners for full marathon, and 1,000 for 10km road race.

  • Okinawan newspapers, TV stations, and On-Base newspapers will also give you the information about this event both before and after the race. Okinawa TV (OTV) will have a special program showing the highlights of the run.
